Vision: Whiteville Primary's Vision is for ALL students to

Practice Respect, Accept Responsibility, Work Together and put Safety First.

Mission: Everyone committed to the success of ALL students.

At WPS, we cultivate students' individual interests, sense of curiosity, and desire to learn through nurturing differentiated materials in all subjects. Our Core Reading program, myView, and other supplementary materials, expose young children to literature and also reinforces vocabulary, grammar, and writing instruction. Our Core Math program, i-Ready Classroom Math, along with materials provided by North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, stresses creative, collaborative problem-solving in order to reach effective and accurate mathematical solutions. Daily differentiated instruction is provided according to students' abilities and achievement levels. Fluid and closely monitored instruction stresses creative and critical 21st century global skills. Teachers are involved with explicit professional development on student differentiation in order to best meet the needs of ALL of our students.
